Biography
He initially studied at the Drawing Class in Warsaw under Wojciech Gerson. He continued his studies in painting from 1901 to 1903 in Munich, and later in Paris. He was a member of the Pro Arte association. He worked as an illustrator for *Tygodnik Ilustrowany*, *Biesiada Literacka*, and the Warsaw-based *Świat*. The subjects of his paintings were mainly battle scenes from the history of the Polish army, as well as genre scenes, views of historic architecture, and landscapes of the Tatra Mountains.
