A small spoon intended for salt or other spices, with a distinctive, wide, and relatively shallow bowl resembling a rounded quadrilateral in outline. The rim of the bowl is slightly raised and irregularly shaped. The handle is long, slender, and gradually tapers toward the end; it has a simple, undecorated finish, with a rounded and slightly thickened tip. A functional, simple design without ornamentation, typical of small tableware from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
