Bronze sculpture of a boy with a crab on a marble base, 34 cm

A lost-wax cast bronze sculpture depicting a young naked boy wearing a loincloth, captured in a dynamic moment of surprise as he recoils from a crab at his feet. The work features a uniform dark patina with brown highlights and detailed anatomical modeling. The figure stands on a single foot atop a circular base cast entirely from bronze, which simulates rocky terrain or a shoreline, enhanced by the figure of the crab in relief. On the bronze base, near the figure’s foot, there are small engraved characters that appear to be a series of puncture marks or a partially legible signature, but the image’s definition does not allow for the transcription of a specific name. The entire sculpture is mounted on a quadrangular base of white marble with gray veins. According to the information provided, the work has a total height of 34 cm.
