A double-barreled percussion shotgun made in the mid-19th century, bearing the signature in the alphabet "B. Maškov" on the barrel. The weapon corresponds to the European rifle production of the period when the percussion mechanism became the dominant system of hunting and sporting firearms.The barrel shows traces of removed corrosion and has been additionally engraved, the signature and ornamental engraving are not original. The engravings on the barrel contain decorative plant motifs, which was typical of the more luxurious weapons of the period.
The stock is made of quality wood, but has a non-original polish that may indicate a later renovation. The trigger mechanism is double-triggered, allowing independent firing of both barrels.
