GREYF, 1936
Pencil, paper; 22 x 19 cm
Signed near the drawing of the base: Szukalski 1936, XII
State of preservation: on the right side one large trace of a paper fold.
Next to the main image, additional sketches of the elements - paws, the whole figure, the base and the arrangement in the heart-shaped niche. Author's title "Greef" (instead of English "Griffin") probably a phonetic transcription in English of the Polish word "Griffin". An image of a griffin with strong Indian and Egyptian art influences.
