Emilia Knausówna (1883–1924) —a Kraków-based painter and student of Teofila Certowiczówna, Jacek Malczewski, Jan Stanisławski, and Włodzimierz Tetmajer. She worked in oil painting, watercolor, and drawing, creating primarily portraits, landscapes, and floral compositions. She was a member of the “Zero” group and the Circle of Polish Women Artists; she exhibited her work in Kraków, Warsaw, Vienna, Lviv, and Odessa, among other places.
