Władysław Jackiewicz's paintings are a contemporary look at the subject of carnality in painting. An innovative, revealing vision that uses understatement and mystery instead of vulgarity and naturalism. The body is not framed realistically, it is not shown directly. Wladyslaw Jackiewicz painted them in the form of abstract shapes, subtly guided lines. Thanks to this, sensuality gives way to a special, painterly poetics. Physicality is only conventional, which changes its perspective and definition. Professor Jackiewicz stressed that he did not need a model to paint. Memory and imagination were enough, in which he stored the inspiration of the masters of painting he valued (Bacon, Modigliani, Giorgione, among others). The work of Wladyslaw Jackiewicz - present in museum and private collections, repeatedly awarded and exhibited around the world, occupies an important place in Polish contemporary art.
