Painter and mining carpenter. Before the war he studied drawing with Paweł Steller and painting and drawing at Czesław Rzepiński's private school. He was a member of the circle of amateur artists at the ZDK of the "Wieczorek" mine, and since 1974 a member of the Silesian branch of ZPAP. The subjects of his works are genre scenes against the background of the Silesian landscape, still lifes, landscapes of mining settlements in Giszowiec, Nikiszowiec and Janów.
