He is inspired by chance, intriguing shapes that abound in nature, stains on various surfaces, spilled water. The images in the cracked concrete or asphalt, with their multiplicity of lines, give the material from which, as from a jigsaw puzzle, one can arrange/pick any shape. Is it really in this grid of cracks or only in the mind of the beholder?
He does not want to be a sculptor of one style, because the world of astonishing coincidences keeps suggesting new combinations of shapes.
