Biography
A painter and theater decorator, he studied under the decorator and painter Adam Malinowski, with whom he later collaborated at the Decorating Workshop of the Warsaw Government Theaters (WTR). From 1891 to 1908, he served as chief decorator of the Warsaw Government Theaters (WTR), and from 1909 onward, also as their chief stagehand. Outside of Warsaw, he also collaborated with theaters in Dąbrowa Górnicza and Sosnowiec. After retiring in 1911, he devoted himself exclusively to painting. He created sets for ballets and designed theater curtains; from 1880 onward, he participated in exhibitions organized by the Society of Polish Artists and Designers (TZSP). He painted mainly landscapes, using oil and watercolor techniques.
