Lot information
The tiny sculpture of the dancer Olga Gzowska, created by the prominent Czech sculptor Josef Maratka, is a bronze masterpiece that reflects the delicacy and elegance of the female figure in motion. Maratka, who was a student and collaborator of August Rodin, transferred his influence to his work, which is evident in the dynamics and detail of the processing of this sculpture. The bronze sculpture is placed on a stone plinth, which completes its harmonious composition. The work is not only an example of excellent sculptural craftsmanship, but also an expression of tribute to artists who celebrated the beauty of the human body with their art.
