Janina Süssle-Muszkietowa (1903-1956) was a Polish painter and educator whose work was rooted in pre-war colorism. She graduated from the State Teaching Seminary in Lviv, and then in 1925 began studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow under Professors Jarocki and Pautsch, which she completed with honors in 1930. Since 1932 she was a member of the art group "Zwornik" and the Association of Visual Artists. During World War II, she worked at the Café of Artists in Cracow and at the Dzialekonserwatorski. Her paintings were characterized by warm colors and themes drawn from everyday life.
