"The artist wandered around sunny Italy in search of fresh ideas. He found new subjects, motifs, and for each of them he had a different unique note." He was a painter who "consistently showed his capabilities in handling color, and who tirelessly experimented with color and lighting. While manifesting such artistry, he works diligently on the composition of the work."
"The artist does not always find a finished landscape in nature, and there is not always such a piece of landscape that only something needs to be removed or emphasized from it - it is often the case that more motifs need to be assembled for a landscape, collected in different places. The artist then collects the necessary sketches from nature and composes from them one organic whole at home, in the studio. Such a route is followed when the artist wants to select material for some idea devised in advance. A landscape created by composition has more content than one found by chance."
