Emil LINDEMANN (1864-about 1945)
Painter, pupil of Gerson and of the Cracow SSP in Matejko's studio, with whom he collaborated, among other things, on the polychrome in St. Mary's Church. He continued his studies in painting at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris and at the Académie Julian and Colarossi. He supplemented his studies in Rome. He was mainly involved in mural painting, producing numerous polychromes, most often for churches. His easel paintings consisted of oil paintings and watercolors of landscapes and, less frequently, genre subjects. He was an excellent illustrator, author of satirical drawings and posters
