Magdalena Konior is a graduate of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1999 she defended her diploma work in the sculpture studio of Professor Jerzy Nowakowski. During her studies, she twice held a six-month scholarship in Bratislava and Antwerp. After her studies, she focused on topics related to interior design. For several years, her passion for sculptural forms has returned. She began to explore art ceramics.
What attracts her today in ceramic sculpture is minimalism in form and the search for the perfect composition. Color and texture complement the sought-after effect.
All this playfulness is accompanied by human faces with feelings, grimaces, gazes. They are always in relationships, rarely alone. They talk, look at each other, sing. Everyone finds something different in them, feelings that accompany us every day.
Her works are created as a result of emotions, the mood of the moment. Each work is unique, created from scratch. It is never repeated. It may be similar, but never identical. Often the end result is the result of an experiment, an accidental mistake that is impossible to make a second time. "I am constantly on the road. I am experimenting, looking for new possibilities, effects, techniques, materials."
