Painter 20 th century, Children with Geese

This 20th-century oil painting on cardboard, signed with an illegible signature, depicts a bucolic scene of three children in a field, accompanied by a flock of geese. The two girls and one boy are engrossed in an activity on the ground. One girl is crouched down, while the other is bending over to observe. The boy stands between them, holding a stick. The children are dressed in traditional-looking garments, suggesting a pastoral setting. In the background, a cluster of white-walled, thatched-roof houses is visible, framed by trees under a wide, cloudy sky. The loose brushwork and earthy palette, with a focus on greens, browns, and blues, capture a sense of rural life. Oil on cardboard 36 x 50 cm
