The MASKARADA series is based on a clear contrast. On the one hand, the canon appears: porcelain and stone heads, cool, almost museum-like, carrying the weight of tradition. On the other hand, we see a naked, modern body, on which are written the signs of our times: tattoos, pop culture symbols, simplified icons.
This juxtaposition is not a provocation for provocation's sake. The artist shows the rupture between what is considered permanent and sublime and what is everyday, temporary, susceptible to fashion. The classical form suggests immutability, while the body becomes a vehicle for current narratives, private declarations and collective myths. The masquerade here is not just a game of appearances. It is a strategy for functioning in a reality saturated with images.
