Biography
Graduated from J. Zabłocki’s painting studio at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 1984. Light plays a major role in his work, as do landscapes painted under the influence of a genuine experience of nature, and above all, the human figure—grotesque and depicted in a symbolic manner. He participated in the following exhibitions: “33rd Salon—Young Painting, Young Expression” in Paris (1982), the National Exhibition of Young Painters “The Way and the Truth” in Wrocław (1985), “Polish Pietà” in Kraków, Warsaw, and other Polish cities (1986–1987), and “Seaside Encounters of the Young” in Sopot (1988). He has had numerous solo exhibitions in Poland, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
