The "Imago Artis" Handicraft Work Cooperative operated from 1947 to 1995 in Cracow. It became famous for its production of gallantry and jewelry made in the filigree technique, which was inspired by Silesian and Cieszyn folk ornaments, made using the same technique, as well as the Cracow-Bronowice jewelry for which red coral was characteristic. The establishment of the "Imago Artis" cooperative (whose name, derived from Latin, can be translated as "Mirror of Art") was connected with the merger of plants with various specializations (including foundry and locksmith), with the result that the workshop was not limited to the creation of jewelry, but also a variety of metal objects including, visible at the auction, award cups, spoons and more.
