Jacek Sroka was born in 1957. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he worked as an assistant from 1981-89. He works in printmaking, painting and drawing. He has had dozens of solo exhibitions and participated in many Polish art shows at home and abroad. In 2008 there was a retrospective exhibition of the artist at the National Museum in Cracow. He has won many awards and prizes, including at the Mulhouse Biennale of Graphics (1984), the International Exhibition of Miniature Art in Toronto (1986), the Atlantic Graphics in Reykjavik (1987), and the Vaasa Biennale of Graphics ( 1987). In 1988, he won the Grand Prix at the Seoul Graphics Biennale. In 2002 he was honored with the W. Wojtkiewicz Award of ZPAP for his exhibition at Jan Fejkiel Gallery in 2000.
