Irena Nowakowska-Acedanska (Lviv 1909 - 1983 Gliwice) - Polish graphic artist and painter, educator. Associated with Lviv until the end of the war. After 1945 she briefly lived in Tarnow, then from 1946 in Gliwice.In 1927-1932 she studied at the Faculty of Decorative Arts and Artistic Industry of the Lviv State Technical School. She was a pupil of Kazimierz Sichulski and Ludwik Tyrowicz. She primarily practiced printmaking in various graphic techniques, applied graphics, easel and wall painting, drawing and fabric, as well as stained glass designs. The years 1932-1939 were the artist's best period. The subject matter of most of her works is architecture.
