Edward Wieczorek (1901–1988) was a painter associated with the Kraków art scene. From 1944 to 1949, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under Wojciech Weiss, whose work had a significant influence on the development of his painting style. The artist primarily created landscapes and figural scenes, painted mainly in oil. His paintings are characterized by an expressive brushstroke, rich texture, and saturated colors. He constructed his compositions using loose patches of color, lending his depictions a painterly dynamism and atmosphere. He exhibited his works at exhibitions organized by the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Kraków and the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw, among others.
