"Whisper of the Absurd" | Sylwia Doktorczyk | oil on canvas, 2025.

She was born in July 1989 in Jaworzno. Originally from Boleslaw, she currently lives and works in the Katowice area.

She is a graduate of the High School of Fine Arts in Dąbrowa Górnicza, specializing in stained glass, and the Technical University in Katowice, majoring in design - clothing design.

From an early age, she was educated under the guidance of local artists, attending art classes at the Municipal Cultural Center in Boleslaw.

Currently, she is engaged in creating original paintings, custom painting and conducting painting workshops. She spends a lot of time perfecting her craft, using a variety of techniques. Most often she works in oil paints, but she also freely uses pencils, crayons, dry pastels and acrylic paints.

Her work is inspired by the beauty of people and nature and balances on the verge of magical realism. She draws inspiration from observation of the surrounding world - its colors and forms - as well as from her inner experiences, enriching them with a touch of magic and surrealism.
