Biography
She began her adventure with art by attending painting and drawing classes in Cracow and at the Nowosądecka Mała Gallery. In 2016, she began studying painting at the Cracow Pedagogical University. Bachelor's degree titled. "Body-image" defended in 2019, whose supervisor was Professor Stanislaw Sobolewski. In 2019, she was admitted to the Master's Degree in Art & Design at the Pedagogical University of Cracow where her master's thesis entitled. "Once it was cool", whose supervisor was Dr. hab Małgorzata Wielek. Family photographs covering the period from the artist's birth to the first years of elementary school were used for the thesis. In order to remember as many memories from my past as possible and to present the family with distance and a dose of humor, a series of 9 images and 9 stories were created. Since her master's degree, she has continued to create paintings based on photographs. She mainly focuses on photos found in family archives, but tries to depict them universally so that any viewer can identify with the characters depicted on the canvases. During his studies, the works could be seen in students' group exhibitions, including the etching exhibition Faculty Seeks in the City and such venues as the Krakow Regional Public Library, Piwnica pod Barani and the Faculty Gallery on Mazowiecka Street.
After her graduation in 2023, the artist took part in an event titled" Creative Process" organized at the Late Nightingale, one of Novosadec's cafes, where, accompanied by writers Tomasz Maruszewski and Wojciech Guni, we talked about our creative processes, similarities and differences that we have. Where, in addition, it was possible to view Ogorzalek's paintings and prints. In 2024, she had the pleasure of presenting her work in Novosadec's Little Gallery, during a solo exhibition titled "Once was cool".
