Stanisław Mazuś—born in 1940 in Lublin. From 1961 to 1967, he studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating with a diploma from the studio of Prof. Eugeniusz Eibisch. Two-time recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art.
Since 1967, he has participated in international, national, and regional competitions, plein air events, and exhibitions. He has organized over 300 solo exhibitions in Poland, including in Lublin, Nowy Targ, Miechów, Suwałki, Nadrzecze, Janów Lubelski, the Kukuczka-Istebna-Jasnowice Gallery, Mikołów, Siedlce, Kraków, Radom, Zamość, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Kołobrzeg, Zielona Góra, Poznań, Tychy, Katowice, Bytom, Warsaw, Sopot, Bielsko-Biała, Białystok, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Wrocław, Biała Podlaska, Łódź, as well as abroad: in Sofia, Prague, Stockholm, Vienna, Komarno, Aix-les-Bains, Milan, New York, Washington, D.C., and Bratislava.
He has participated in presentations of Polish art abroad, including in Miskolc, Madrid, Moscow, New York, Ostrava, Budapest, Sofia, Zagorie, Karlovy Vary, Paris, Bayreuth, Ulaanbaatar, Barcelona, Bratislava, Prague, Athens, Berlin, and Beuningen.
His works are held in the collections of state institutions, museums, and private collections in Poland and abroad, including the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
He is the recipient of numerous significant awards and honors.
In 2014, he was awarded the Silver Medal “Gloria Artis” for Merit to Culture.
