Magdalena Laskowska (b. 1985, Warsaw), "Welcome," 2019

Biography
In 2011 she graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She received a diploma with honors in the studio of Prof. S. Baj, and an appendix in illustration in the studio of Dr. Z. Januszewski. Participant of more than 20 collective exhibitions (including in Germany) and 7 individual exhibitions. Participant of the Warsaw Art Fair, and the Affordable Art Fair in New York and Bridgehampton , Hamburg, Singapore, Hong Kong, London (2019-24). Works, among others, in the collection of the National Museum in Gdansk Branch of Modern Art, in the collection of the Legnica Art Gallery, and in the private collection of the President of the Fed. Rep. Horst Koehler of Germany. Competitions: Winner of the First Prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in the Young Painting Review Promotions 2011 (Legnica), winner of an honorable mention in the Potok Sztuki Competition 2016 (Sopot). Finalist of many competitions, including several times: the Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting (Szczecin), Bielska Jesień (Bielsko-Biała), L.Wyczółkowski Painting Competition (Bydgoszcz), Triennale of Small Painting Forms (Toruń). She is also a finalist of the I. Painting Biennale Lublin Spring and VI. Triennale of Polish Contemporary Painting in Rzeszow.
