Biography
Painter, photographer, illustrator. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and at Hunter College City University in New York. After receiving his diploma, he exhibited his works several times at home and abroad. His painting was close to the then dominant New Expressionist style. He presented large-format paintings depicting vast, panoramic views of mountains. Since the late 1990s, he traveled with his camera in the United States, Antarctica, as well as Vietnam, Indonesia and China. Long-term photographic projects followed: "Designs for a Water Surface," "Mekong," and "Designs for the Sky." He photographs in such a way as not to suggest to the viewer the scale of the object depicted, so as not to limit the possibilities of interpretation. In 1997, his photographs were published in "Guggenheim Magazine." He was a Fulbright and Kosciuszko Foundation fellow.
