Biography
Honorata Martin is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where she leads the Third Intermedia Studio. She works in painting, installations, performance, and video. Her works include: “Outings in Poland,” “Settling In,” “Come and Ask for Whatever You Want,” “God the Monkey.” Honorata’s art often involves transcending the fears and habits of both the individual and the social self. She is the recipient of the “Spojrzenia” Deutsche Bank Award, (2017), Splendor Gedanensis, the “Polacy z werwą” (Poles with Vigor) Public Vote, and a nominee for Polityka’s Passport Award. She is a recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. She is an activist and vice president of the Arbuz Association.
