Emil Go¶
Emil Go¶, born in 1986 in Wroclaw, Poland. Graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. He practices easel painting, creating mainly in oil and acrylic techniques. He is particularly interested in chiaroscuro: a full of subtlety game between darkness and what is brought out by proper lighting, giving dead matter the appearance of life. Perhaps it is because of the unique qualities of chiaroscuro that the great inspiration for Emil Gos is the work of Rembrandt van Rijn. Light and shadow are the artist's tools for creating a specific atmosphere in his paintings, which are set in steampunk style. Nature and mechanism combine in Gosia's compositions, evoking the steam and clock mechanisms of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In this way, a mechanical fauna is created, whose size corresponds to the actual size of the creatures.
Emil Gos collaborates with contemporary art galleries, and his paintings can be admired in online galleries and at contemporary art auctions.
