"The city and its structures, the grid of streets and the variety of landscapes - so seemingly everyday sights are in Diana Batruch's paintings not only a reflection of reality but, above all, a reflection of the state of mind. Some melancholic full of inner reflections in clearly subdued muted colors, others very expressive in bright colors. All of this changes with the time of day and successive passing sights, where the artist captures moments not only as a snapshot of the image in its actual form, but also as a reflection of her own "I", found in this constantly rushing, consumerist World."
