Studied at the Faculty of Graphics in Katowice of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Obtained diploma with Rector's Medal in 1988. Recipient of scholarships from Silesia-Dabrowa Independent Culture Committee for artistic debut (1988); Ministry of Culture and Art (1989, 1999); The Pollock-Krasner Foundation (1994); Frans Masereel Center for International Graphics (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997). Winner of honorable mention of the Polish-Finnish Marine Competition, Gdansk (1987); 2nd Prize of the Polish-French Printemps Culturel du Valenciennois Poster Competition, Valenciennes, France (1988); honorable mention of the 4th World Exhibition of Miniature Art, Toronto, Canada (1989); Honorable Mention of the 1st International Triennial of Small Forms Graphic Art, Riga, Latvia (1990); Honorable Mention of the World Triennial of Small Forms Graphic Art, Chamalieres, France (1991); Regulation Prize of the 4th International Triennial of Graphic Art, Ourense Spain (1998); Third Prize of the 10th National Graphic Art Review.
