Anastasia Markovich
Anastasia Markovich is a surrealist painter from Ukraine, known for her many worldwide exhibitions and publications, born in the city of Brichany.
In 1990 she began her studies at the Art School in Chernivtsi, from which she graduated with honors. She has had several solo and group exhibitions, including: at the National Museum in Lviv, Bucharest, and Kyiv - after being invited by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
In 2007, she was honored among several hundred artists from Ukraine for the catalog "The World of Levkas," under the patronage of the President of Ukraine. In 2009, she began studying at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. To this day, Anastasiya Markovych is involved in the artistic development of her hometown. Chernivtsi, as it is referred to, is famous as a place attracting artistic souls such as Taras Shevchenko, Paul Celan, Volodymyr Ivasyuk and many others. Anastasiya Markovych started creating and perfectingher art in just such an artistic,climate/ Currently, the artist lives and creates in Poland.
