Wide view of the sea, shimmering in many shades of green and dark blue in the summer light, flanked by sea cliffs in the foreground. The sky is also painted in light blue and yellowish-white in the Impressionist manner.

Annotation:
In 1884 he co-founded the group Les XX , which was known for its hazy, atmospheric paintings. In 1887 he moved to London. Towards the end of the decade his work was increasingly characterized by Neo-Impressionist influences, but after 1894 he returned to his earlier Impressionist style. (1411046) (18)
