French officer cord, model 1817, produced in May 1821 in the prestigious Klingenthal manufactory. The blade is straight, multi-grooved, bearing the production mark "Manufact. Royale du Klingenthal Mai 1821". Brass head, spherical, wire-wrapped handle.No scabbard. A crack on the basket rod, requires restoration work by the passer.
