Initially studied painting under Sichulski at the State Industrial School in Lvov. He graduated in 1924 and studied with Kaczor Batowski for two more years. He practiced easel painting, decorative painting, stage design, artistic ornamentation (fabric, metal). He was curator of the Municipal Museum of Artistic Industry in Lviv, and here he taught drawing and principles of ornamentation. He was a stage designer for the Academic Ballet and Opera Theater in Lviv, and later for the Silesian Opera in Wroclaw. He exhibited his works until the outbreak of World War II at TPSP in Lvov, and after the war he took a lively part in the exhibition activities of ZPAP.
