Biography
Painter and draftsman, one of the most important artistic voices of the turn-of-the-century generation in Polish art. He studied in Kraków at the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts. Member of the Ładnie group and publisher of “Słynne Pismo we Wtorek.” From 2000 to 2010, he collaborated with the magazine *Przekrój* on a regular column, commenting on Polish reality through his drawings. Winner of the *Polityka* Passport Award.
Maciejowski’s most recent projects include “Wawel Drawings” —a book published by the Royal Castle at Wawel—and the exterior of the Ringturm skyscraper in Vienna, which forms a 4,000 m² mural—likely the largest painting project by a Polish artist in Europe.
Maciejowski’s paintings are held in private and museum collections in Poland and abroad. He collaborates with Galerie Meyer Kainer in Vienna, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac in Europe and Asia, and Galeria Raster in Warsaw.
