Mac Czarnik Lucyna - writing icons is for me an attempt to express the "Unspeakable", a search for a way to "another world". It is always with great joy that I put the painted icons in the hands of people, because the icon demands the presence of man, towards him is directed the symbolic light. I first learned the basics of icon writing and egg tempera technique under the guidance of a nun from Monastère de Bethléem in Belgium (a student of Fr. Egon Sendler SJ), and then in the studio of Fr. Zygfryd Kot SJ in Krakow. Since 2020, I have been a participant in the Lumen group of the Association of Creators of Sacred Art "Ecclesia".
