About the Author:
Lili Fijalkowska was born in Kyiv. She graduated from the High School of Arts in her
hometown, and completed her higher studies at the graphic design department of the Moscow Academy of
of Art and Printing named after Ivan Fyodorov. She works in painting, printmaking,
sculpture and unique ceramics, as well as digital multimedia. In 1985
she was awarded at the 4th Biennale of Polish Ceramics in Walbrzych for her work
"Ebony." She has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in
Poland and abroad. Her works are in the collections of many private and
museums in Poland, the USA, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, France, Canada and in
Russia. She participates in many international plein-airs and symposia.
From 1996 -1999 she was director and chief coordinator in Poland at the
SURVIVORS OF THE SHOAH VISUAL HISTORY FOUNDATION,
founded by Steven Spielberg. During the Foundation's work in Poland, it has done
more than 1,500 interviews with Holocaust survivors of victims of Nazi crimes.
In the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Artists, Lili Fijałkowska
served as vice chairman of the graphic arts section. She belongs to the creative group
PositiveArt, of which she is one of the co-founders.
Lili Fijałkowska is a member of the international movement DECENTRISM, a new
direction in contemporary art, which brings together artists from around the world. Stara
to present her search for a new direction in art as an intellectual adventure

In her work she depicts the enchanted world of I.B.Singer, the world of women,
which she shows in the "Mannequins" series, the world of circus performers and the world of her
imagination.
