Van Hamme and Rosinski's Western comic strip is dedicated to the Wikipedia entry at: https://pl.wiki- pedia.org/wiki/Western_(comics) (accessed November 12, 2025), where one can find detailed information about the publication, a plot summary and a bibliography of the comic. About the cartoonist's style we read: "Western" is another joint project of Rosiński and Van Hamme after "Thorgal" and "Twine". It is the first experimental work of Rosinski, who introduced elements of painting and sketching into his realistic drawing style. The work is maintained in a color scheme of sepia, yellows and grays. "Western" marked the beginning of a new period in the work of Rosinski, who went further in his experiments in the series "Revenge of the Count of Treasure" and in the 29th volume of "Thorgal."
From a review by Michal Chudolinski, "Western" - review, "Paradox" 17 XI 2010, https://paradoks.net.pl/read/ 14928-western-review (accessed 12 XI 2025): Van Hamme has served the reader a gripping tale in which honor and nobility are sought in vain. (...) Plot-wise, it's actually an anti-western that situates the cowboy ethos in a realistic, debauched context. There's a lot of gray and muddy brown here (...). "Western" confirmed what a versatile and sophisticated artist the illustrator of Thorgal is. In this closed comic book, the artist showed his devotion to paint (...) evident in the monumental images contained between the various episodes of the story. In addition, the co-creator of "Shninkel", as always, ingeniously builds the tension of the story through shootouts and the portrayal of emotions in human gazes. Meticulous research is also gratifying - Rosinski has successfully reproduced the fashion of the Wild West, the range there and the weapons of the time.
