Painter associated with the Lvov art community, one of the authors of the "Battle of Pyramids" and "Raclawicka" panoramas. He studied under Jan Matejko at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1883 -1891) and at the Munich academy. In 1910-1920 he was a professor at the School of Art Industry in Lviv. In his Lviv apartment on Jabłonowskie Street, he held private drawing and painting lessons in the interwar years. His favorite subject matter included battle scenes, he also painted genre scenes, landscapes and portraits. He died 23. 07. 1950 in Zakopane.
