A Compendium of the History of Philosophy. This work is a synthetic chronological and biographical table that organizes the lives and views of ancient thinkers such as Plutarch, Cicero, Laertius, and others. The work bears annotations by Hieronymus Wolff (1516–1580)—a German humanist and philologist, and the founder of German Byzantine studies. Wolf translated the works of ancient Greek scholars into Latin. He enriched his publications with transcriptions, explanations, and commentaries. Thanks to his work, many works by writers from the Eastern Roman Empire have been preserved. Guillaume Morel (1505–1564)—a French humanist and printer. Slight wear on the binding, traces of staining on the pages; otherwise in good condition.
