The author discusses, among other topics, the Polish Legions, the Polish Military Organization, the Polish Armed Force, the Polish Corps in Russia, the Puławy Legion, units in Murmansk, Kuban, and Siberia, and the Polish Army in France. He also describes major battles, including the battles of Rarańcza and Kaniów, as well as the fate of Polish soldiers in prisoner-of-war camps and on the Italian front.
