Strike 5/5, Surface 3/5. lt graffito. This coin is an outstanding example of this beautiful Roman provincial issue, showcasing exceptional strike, mint luster, and elegant toning. In the name and types of the Seleucid king Philip I Philadelphos (c. 95/4-76/5 BC). Dated year 4 of the Caesarean Era.
Obv.: Diademed head of Philip I to right.
Rev.: Zeus Nikephoros seated left; “ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟY” to right, “ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟYΣ ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΟY” to left, Antioch monogram to inner left, ∆I monogram below throne, ∆ and winged thunderbolt in exergue.
