Obverse: KAROLVSo REX. Lilies beneath a crown.
Reverse: + PARISIVS – DVPPLES. A Latin cross with fleur-de-lis, the base of which cuts across the legend.
Dy.400 => Dy.419 BIS; Billon – 1.26 g – 21 mm – 4 h
From the Lhomme Collection, iNumis Auction 1, March 25, 2006, lot no. 573.
Features a third ring on both the obverse and reverse, indicating the Mirabel mint. This denomination was struck only in Paris! Our specimen is therefore a strike for the Dauphin and should be listed in the Duplessy catalog under no. 419 bis. With a dark patina. Very Fine to Very Good.
