Denarius, the issuance of which is related to the fief tribute paid to Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa by Boleslaw IV Krzrzawy in Krzyszków near Poznań in 1157.
Av.: Emperor on a throne in front, wearing a crown, with a lily and an apple in his hands.
Rw.: Inscription in three lines BOL / EZГ / AΛS (A reversed, S lying down).
Variety with moons (arches) on the sides of the emperor and inverted letter A in the upper line on the reverse.
Condition: NGC MS62
Beautifully struck and preserved coin. Good detail. Intense luster and mint mirror. Mint condition confirmed by high NGC grade.
