"Episodes" we called such letters-non-lists, which we wrote to each other almost every day during the Warsaw war years. I prepared the book consisting of these letters, notes, fragments of essays and poems for printing alone, without my mega-husband, its co-author. Jan Gralewski died on his last courier route, completely accidentally invited in Gibraltar to board General Sikorski's plane, returning by that route from the Middle East to London.
