In the last years of the 19th century, he exhibited his sculptures in Warsaw's Krywult Salon and the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. Beginning in 1903, Bębnowski ran a factory of artistic sculptures and vases in Sluzew, Kuyavia. In 1905 he settled in Aleksandrów Kujawski, where he continued his artistic activities.
