Attributed to Marcello Mortet, the work is a miniature reproduction of the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius, in gilded bronze, erected after his death in 176-180 AD. Its original location is uncertain, but it is assumed to have been in the Roman Forum. It is currently kept in the Capitoline Museums in Rome.800/1000 silver lost-wax casting, it is hallmarked "800" and "ROMA". Item condition grading: **** goodThe sculpture is in an excellent state of preservation with very few signs of wear and defects commensurate with its age and use over time.
