On four curved legs, overlapping the top of the body, decorated with channel irons and profiled broken bands; the top is stepped to a high, smooth neck with a domed hinged lid topped with a handle in the form of a coiled branch; wooden ear, set in silver sleeves, on the axis of the spout in the form of a beak decorated at the base with leafy volutes and geometric ornament.
In 1810, M. Boulenger-Haunin founded a goldsmith company in Paris specializing in table silver, which was taken over by his nephew Adolphe Boulenger in 1864. From 1876, the label operated as a company under the name A. Boulenger & Cie. After Adolph's death (1898), the owner became his son Chris who changed the name to Ch. Boulenger & Cie. The factory operated until 1938.
