First edition. A piece autographed and inscribed by the author, Julian Ejsmond (1892–1930), a poet and translator, a lieutenant in the Polish Army’s infantry, and recipient of the Cross of Valor. He wrote in various literary forms—from love poetry, ballads, and romances, through lyric poetry, columns, and satires, to fables and short stories. He also gained recognition as a translator of Latin works, translating pieces by authors such as Kochanowski, Sarbiewski, Propertius, Ovid, and Petronius.
